Sydneysiders treated to free zombie-themed croissants to celebrate the premiere of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – but you better be quick

A Sydney bakery will be offering undead-themed pastries to celebrate the premiere of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon on Stan. 

Cult bakehouse LODE will be partnering with the streaming service to give away 100 limited-edition croissants on September, 12 from 8am until gone.

LODE’s award-winning chef Lorenzo Librino designed the limited-edition pastry aptly titled ‘The Sugarcoa-dead Daryl’.

It’s a twice-baked charcoal croissant, filled with macadamia frangipane and a raspberry and rhubarb compote, topped with Italian meringue.

The croissant will be available exclusively at LODE Circular Quay, 5 Sai Ying Lane, where Zombies will make themselves at home from 8am, handing out the free croissants to the first 100 people who drop in.

Known for its intricate, detailed and highly ‘Instagrammable’ treats, and buttery, flaky pastry, LODE Pies & Pastries is considered one of the best bakeries in Sydney.

Meanwhile, the new Walking Dead spinoff has not even premiered yet and has already been green-lit for a second season.

The news about the soon-to-debut program was revealed by Variety, and it was also reported that The Walking Dead: Dead City is also set to return for a new run of episodes.

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, which is due to premiere on September 12 in Australia, is centered on the fan-favorite character of the same name played by Norman Reedus (pictured), who unexpectedly washes up in France and tries to find a way back home

The Norman Reedus-starring show, which was recently the subject of a new trailer, continues the story of the fan-favorite character made famous during the original survival drama series, which ran from 2010 until 2022. 

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon is centered on the fan-favorite character of the same name, who unexpectedly washes up in France and tries to find a way back home. 

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon is the second of three brand new series from The Walking Dead Universe launching exclusively on Stan, with The Walking Dead: Dead City now streaming and The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live premiering in 2024.

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon premieres September 11 only on Stan.
