A glowing Sylvia Jeffreys debuted her baby bump for the first time on Tuesday morning – a day after announcing she is expecting her first child with husband Peter Stefanovic.
The pregnant newsreader, 33, couldn’t contain her smile as she headed to Indigo in Double Bay for breakfast with a girlfriend.
On Monday, Sylvia and husband Peter Stefanovic, 37, revealed their happy news on Instagram, writing: ‘We’re having a baby boy and we’re totally over the moon!!’

Taking to Instagram on Monday night, Sky News presenter Peter gushed: ‘Soon to be a family of three and we are rapt! Good thing I’m already match fit with the whole no sleep thing.’

Earlier on Tuesday, the Today show panel congratulated Sylvia and Peter on their joyous baby news.
‘There is no better news than baby news, congratulations to you both,’ newsreader Tom Steinfort said, as co-hosts Georgie Gardner and Deborah Knight also sent their well wishes.
Deborah said in a segment about the baby news: ‘Such wonderful news for them both, so happy for you, another little bub to add to the wonderful nine family.’

It’s finally happening: Sylvia has made no secret of her dream to have children
The earlier mention of Sylvia and Pete’s news happened just before 6am, with Deborah saying she had been texting with Sylvia overnight about the reveal.
‘She said “now I can let it all hang out and enjoy the fact that I am pregnant, because it’s that strange period when you’re in the early days that you’re so excited, but you want to play it safe”,’ Deborah said.
‘Congratulations to Sylvia Jeffreys if you’re watching,’ weather presenter Stevie Jacobs also added during his cross at a primary school.
Sylvia, who is between 16 and 20 weeks along, has been at the centre of pregnancy speculation for months.

Earlier this month, she began wearing more baggy and loose-fitting ensembles, while also raising eyebrows for pulling out of the City2Surf fun run.
She also did little to shut down speculation during a radio interview with KIIS FM’s Kyle And Jackie O, earlier this month.
Sylvia and Peter said they couldn’t wait to be a family of three, and revealed they were expecting a baby boy.
