Tamar Braxton has hit out at Melissa Schuman, after the former girlband member used social media to attack the singer’s estranged husband Vincent Herbert.
In a tweet Melissa accused Herbert of verbally and emotionally abusing her and forcing her to lose weight as a teen member of the defunct 90s girlband Dream.
However Tamar lashed out at Melissa, saying the comic and singer was using her ‘personal family situation’ with Vincent to get ‘attention’.

Tamar was referring to the couple’s marital issues, after she obtained a protection order against her husband of nine years following his alleged assault of her at her Lost Hills home on Christmas Day.
Schuman had retweeted a link to an article about the arrest for spousal abuse, writing: ‘This one I am not surprised by. Vincent Herbert is the reason I suffer PTSD when I’m in the recording studio.
‘He verbally and emotionally abused me when I was 14 while recording Dream’s first record. Isolated us from each other and forced me us to lose weight.’

Furious, Tamar called Melissa a ‘thirst bucket’, and told her: ‘Don’t EVEN TRY to use out personal Family situation for attention!!’
She said Herbert’s behavior was nothing unusual, referring to the music industry in the 90s as ‘boot camp for all of us.’
‘All the greats had to do it, GAGA, Toni, myself ALL had what was ARTIST DEVELOPMENT!!,’ said Tamar.

And she said Melissa was ungrateful, as Herbert, who worked with Dream on their first album, helped them sell ‘millions of records’.
Tamar defended her estranged husband. ‘He’s not a woman beater, abuser or a BAD man! He just madeBad choices like we ALL do…to ME NOT YOU!!’
After reading Tamar’s tweets, Melissa returned to social media with a lengthy statement.
‘I do not apologize for speaking up for myself regarding what I endured by Vincent Herbert during the creation of our first record album. I was not attempting to insert myself into their reported family life but highlight and re-emphasize a problem in the music industry that I had previously documented on my blog.’
She then repeated her claims against Herbert, in more detail.
While Tamar was quick to defend her estranged husband against Melissa, she herself had attacked him on social media just hours earlier.

The 40-year-old R&B belter wrote in a since-deleted Instagram: ‘Vincent Herbert is having a baby and his wh*** decided to let me know about it tonight! That stupid broke a** wh*** should check public records on Christmas before she goes through with it!’

The woman the four-time Grammy nominee was referring to was Basketball Wives alum Laura Govan who is reported to have recently vacationed with the 45-year-old Streamline Records founder.
Govan later denied being pregnant or having an affair with Herbert, saying she was in a loving relationship with someone else.
Tamar filed for divorce from Herbert, with whom she shares a four-year-old son, on October 24.

The fired The Real co-host and her ex starred in five seasons season of the Braxton Family Values spin-off Tamar & Vince, which concluded Thursday on WE tv.
4 to the Floor composer Herbert produced Braxton’s 2013 album The One/Love and War as well as her older sister Toni’s self-titled debut in 1993.
Tamar will next put her four-octave coloratura soprano pipes to use this Saturday night when she brings her 22-date The Great Xscape Tour to Mississippi’s Landers Center in Southaven.
