Taylor Swift’s visit to a Sydney animal park has reportedly sparked a rivalry between competing zoos in the area.
Taylor’s boyfriend Travis Kelce touched down in Sydney on Thursday morning and the Style singer wasted no time showing him the Harbour City.
The 34-year-old was so besotted by her visit to Sydney Zoo on Wednesday, she opted to take her man straight to the Australian wildlife park to get up close and personal with some of the country’s most iconic animals when he landed.
Swift’s decision to go to Sydney Zoo, instead of the iconic Taronga Zoo, resulted in a statement from the competing park and a reported rivalry, the Daily Telegraph reported on Tuesday.
‘While we would have been thrilled to host Taylor Swift, we are appreciative that she took the opportunity during her time in Sydney to meet some of Australia’s iconic species,’ Taronga Zoo said in a statement.

‘Zoos play an important role in educating guests of all ages and backgrounds about wildlife and inspiring future generations to act for the wild.’
Meanwhile, Sydney Zoo boasts on their website ‘Sydney Zoo provides an experience that is more immersive and engaging than traditional zoos’ and adds, ‘Sydney Zoo has Sydney’s ONLY rhino’.
The public can also ‘see the first hyena cub ever to be born in Sydney’ at the park according to the website.
The global superstar was the epitome of casual cool as she enjoyed her romantic reunion with her hunky boyfriend following his Super Bowl win at the zoo.

On Friday night the NFL star attended the first Sydney date of Swift’s Eras tour at Sydney’s Accor stadium.
By Saturday Travis had already left Taylo and Australia to fly back to Las Vegas to continue partying with his Kansas City Chiefs teammates.
