A man and woman decided to get intimate on top of the grave at St Mark’s Anglican Cemetery, in Cressy, northern Tasmania – in broad daylight… and have now been charged

They will appear in the Hobart Magistrates Court at a later date, a statement said.

The shocking footage of the couple allegedly getting intimate in broad daylight at St Mark’s Anglican Cemetery, in Cressy, northern Tasmania. surfaced in January.

During the home video, the couple appeared to make light of their situation, with one saying ‘to the souls of the faithfully departed, may they rest in peace’.

The defiled grave was identified as belonging to David Hammond Chapman, a painter known for his landscape work, who died in 1983.

One person who viewed the footage said they hoped the family of Mr Chapman were aware of what had been done to his burial site.

A separate video emerged of the couple using a fish to perform a sexual act on one another.

‘That’s how you catch a trout,’ the man can be heard saying.

In a statement, Tasmanian Police warned ‘it is an offence to possess or distribute the bestiality-related video’.

The maximum penalty for production and dissemination of bestiality material could be up to two years in prison, and one year for possession.
