Tayla Damir reveals her wedding plans with AFL star fiancé Nathan Broad

She announced her engagement to AFL star Nathan Broad back in June.

And now Tayla Damir has revealed that the couple are waiting to reunite with their families before sitting down to make wedding plans.

The 24-year-old told Daily Mail Australia at the Melbourne Cup on Tuesday that life in lockdown with her fiancé, prior to restrictions being lifted, was ‘great’.

‘We’re just hoping to get home to Perth eventually to celebrate with our family. We haven’t been able to do that yet so we’re looking forward to that,’ she said.

‘We’re just waiting for everything to get back to normal, and then we’ll lock something in later.

When asked if she had any particular wedding dress in mind, fashionista Tayla admitted: ‘I actually don’t know what I want. 

‘I have everything else planned out fashion-wise but a wedding dress, I just have never thought about.

‘I’m really excited to get a bit adventurous with it and find some pieces and maybe step out of my comfort zone a little bit.’

Tayla revealed that any wedding planning would have to happen after the border restrictions with their home state of Western Australia were lifted.

‘We’ll just have to wait and see what the borders are doing,’ she added.

Choices, choices, choices! Fashionista Tayla admitted she doesn’t know what she wants when it comes to her wedding dress. She said: ‘I have everything else planned out fashion-wise but a wedding dress, I just have never thought about’

Elsewhere, Tayla shared her thoughts on the term WAG, an acronym which refers to the wives and girlfriends of high-profile sports stars. 

‘It’s a term that’s not going to go away so you might as well laugh at it instead,’ she giggled.

‘There’s nothing wrong with it,’ the former Love Island star added.

Tayla, who has been dating the star since the start of last year, revealed in a recent Instagram Q&A: ‘I would ideally like to be married first, but after that, let the baby making begin.’

Tayla rose to fame on season one of Love Island Australia, where she was paired with Grant Crapp. The pair split shortly after the finale.
