Where is it? The do-over music video for the Reputation track caused its own firestorm of controversy on Friday, when it apparently missed its midnight release by nearly an hour

The video, which 28-year-old Swift had assured fans would be dropping at midnight Eastern Standard Time on Spotify, failed to materialize.

And fans were outraged, with one writing: ‘hey if you wouldn’t mind dropping the delicate video it would be GREAT i have to be up at 5:30 so ya know…’

Another fan counseled calm, telling fellow fans ‘Everyone stay relaxed, Taylor always delivers.’

It was almost 1am by the time most fans finally located the video, that showed the Ready For It hitmaker dancing around the woods in a single take.

She told her fans: ‘Hey guys, I’m at rehearsals for the Reputation stadium tour and I just wanted to let you know that there’s a brand new video for Delicate coming out, only on Spotify tonight. So check it out.’ And she ended with a kiss.

Taylor debuted the first Delicate video at the iHeartRadio Music Awards while accepting the Female Artist Of The Year gong in early March.

Fans were quick to accuse the star of ripping off Spike Jonze’s work.

The video sees the pop superstar dancing around a hotel lobby while dressed in an elegant blue gown, with many tweeters comparing the choreography and look of the video to the Kenzo fragrance commercial directed by Jonze.

Jonze’s 2016 commercial stars The Leftovers actress Margaret Qualley.

Margaret in the ad, like Taylor in the music video, dances energetically in a dress around an elaborate building – in the former’s case, the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in Los Angeles – while pulling extravagant facial expressions.

Vanity Fair Spain writer Emilio Doménech tweeted in Spanish, per Google Translate: ‘I’m writing about the Taylor Swift video clip and I just thought … f***, if it’s a f***ing copy of that of Spike Jonze for KENZO.’

As Billboard pointed out – while also comparing her dance moves to those of Maddie Ziegler – the music video is reminiscent of that for Britney Spears’ 2000 song Lucky, which follows a celebrity chafing under public scrutiny.

Taylor didn’t publicly comment on the controversy.
