A 29-year-old teacher was arrested after she allegedly had sex with a 16-year-old student in a park this past spring.
Alyssia Marie Reddy was arrested Friday for institutional sexual assault, unlawful contact with a minor, criminal use of a communication facility and corruption of a minor by Pennsylvania police.
Reddy was an English teacher at the Pennington School in Pennington, New Jersey, an elite school serving grades six through 12, which charges $38,100 per year for tuition.
She and the student allegedly crossed the Delaware River to have sex in a park along Route 32 in Solebury Township, Pennsylvania, in the spring of 2017.

According to police records, Reddy gave the student at the Pennington School in Pennington, New Jersey (pictured), her cell phone number and then added him on Snapchat in December 2016. The student said that he received messages from Reddy in February 2017 saying: ‘I want your hands on me’

About three weeks after that, Reddy picked up the student from a friend’s house in Solebury, Pennsylvania, drove him to a nearby park and had sex with him, according to the police report.
A report was filed with police on November 20 of this year and authorities conducted an investigation that determined the teacher had sex with the minor.
Reddy, who currently lives in Baltimore, Maryland, is being held there while waiting to be extradited to Pennsylvania, police say.

The Pennington School said in a letter to parents that it had been ‘recently made aware of an alleged inappropriate relationship involving a former Upper School teacher of The Pennington School in the 2016-17 school year,’ the Trentonian reported.
The school said that ‘the matter was promptly reported to the Mercer County Prosecutor’s office.’
Reddy, who was working as a history teacher at St Paul’s School for Girls in Maryland, has been fired and banned from campus, Fox 43 reported.
According to the Trentonian, on Reddy’s Facebook page, she appeared to post many pictures of who appears to be her husband and her two young children.
