A teacher has been rushed to hospital after being stabbed multiple times by a student at a school in Perth. 

Emergency services were called to Willetton Senior High School just after 11am on Monday morning after reports the teacher, aged in her 50s, had sustained stab wounds.

The woman was taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries but did require medical attention.

Police confirmed the student had left the grounds and they were still attempting to locate them. 

A teacher has been stabbed by a student in Perth’s southern suburbs on Monday morning.  

The teacher is currently in a stable condition in Fiona Stanley Hospital.
