Teen caught out snapping intimate ‘sleeping’ selfie

A teen has proudly admitted to using a camera timer to capture a photo of himself cuddling in bed with his girlfriend after people kept asking who took the intimate snapshot.

Sergio Ledezma, 18, from San Antonio, Texas, took to Twitter last week to share a snapshot of himself spooning his 17-year-old girlfriend Taylor Ramirez, writing: ‘U can’t tell me I ain’t blessed.’

The image sees Sergio lying with his arm around Taylor, while she snuggles up to her dog. Both of their eyes are closed, and some people couldn’t help but wonder who was there to photograph them when they were asleep.

One Twitter user named Emmanuel responded to the snapshot by sharing a sketch of a man holding a camera at the foot of the bed that reads: ‘Can I go now guys?’

‘A ghost take the pic [?], Nino Brown tweeted.

Meanwhile, a Twitter user known as ‘Simply Jamal’ pointed out that Sergio and Taylor aren’t the only couple sharing such intimate photos. 

‘When one gets into a relationship does a wild photographer randomly appear whenever you need a photo taken?’ he asked.

After dealing with a moderate amount of teasing over the photo, Sergio returned to Twitter to reveal how he took the snapshot, while admitting they weren’t really sleeping.

‘& yes I put the camera on the nightstand w the timer on and ran my a** back to the bed idgaf [sic],’ he wrote.  

His confession has been retweeted more than 45,000 times and nearly 160,000 people have liked it.

‘At least you’re honest lmao,’ a Twitter user known as ‘Blackman’ commented, while someone else tweeted: ‘This is respectable dedication.’

And Jayce Rey admitted it was hard to find fault with Sergio’s honesty, writing: ‘Can’t even be mad atcha!’

However, at least one person was a bit shocked by the revelation.

‘So you guys aren’t really sleeping[?]’ a man named Brandon asked. 

Sergio told BuzzFeed News that he and Taylor met on Twitter, and they have been dating for three months.

Although he said he has ‘no shame’ about how they took the photo, he explained that they really don’t use the camera timer that often.  

‘We just did it this once ’cause she wanted us to look cute,’ he admitted.
