A Canadian TikTok user had to go to the hospital after getting an entire harmonica stuck in her mouth.
Mollie O’Brien, who attends high school in Ontario, was entertaining her little cousin recently when she stuffed an entire harmonica inside her mouth, filling it up from cheek to cheek.
But she quickly realize that she couldn’t get the instrument out, and recorded a funny but panicked TikTok video before seeking medical help.
Whoops! Ontario high school student Mollie O’Brien was trying to entertain her little cousin when she got a harmonica stuck in her mouth
Yikes! She said when it was stuck, it hurt and made noise when she breathed
The video was only Mollie’s third on the platform, but it’s already racked up 1.7 million likes.
She starts out with a close-up of her face as the song ‘I Just Did a Bad Thing’ by BIll Wurtz plays.
She writes the lyrics out in the video, teasing her mistake.
‘I just did a bad thing,’ she wrote. ‘I regret the thing I did… And you’re wondering what it i … Well…’
This is when she zooms out enough to reveal the harmonica stuck uncomfortably in her open mouth, while her brow is furrowed in frustration.
Embarrassing: Her mother took her to the hospital, which sent her to a dentist, who removed it — but not before Mollie uploaded a silly TikTok video about her predicament
Before: ‘[The dentist] said, “Let’s not do this again, OK dear?”‘ Mollie recalled
‘I shoved an entire harmonica in my mouth and it’s stuck now,’ she said.
Though she found the humor in the situation, she was also clearly not thrilled with what she’d done.
‘Every time I breathed heavily out of panic, it made a noise,’ she told BuzzFeed. ‘After 30 minutes it hurt, but then it was kinda numb.
‘Honestly, it’s nature’s wonder on how that went in.’
When she realized it was truly stuck, she thought, ‘F***, my mom will kill me now.’
Her mom took her to the hospital, which sent her to a dentist who held her mouth open wide enough to take out the harmonica.
‘He said, “Let’s not do this again, OK dear?”‘ Mollie recalled.
