Teenage girl approached by two unknown men while walking home in Emerald Beach, NSW

Urgent warning for parents after a young girl was stalked by two men near a popular beach – before one tried to bundle her in their car

A teenage girl was approached by two men who tried to usher her inside their car while she walked home near a popular NSW beach.

The 14-year-old was walking along Fiddaman Road, in Emerald Beach near Coffs Harbour at about 9.45 on Sunday night when a dark coloured Holden Commodore with two males inside pulled up next to her.

The driver offered the girl a lift but she refused and continued walking.

‘The driver then exited the vehicle and attempted to usher the girl inside the vehicle before she ran to her nearby home,’ NSW Police said.

Police have launched an investigation into the incident and are appealing for any witnesses who may have dashcam footage to come forward.

The driver has been described as being in his late teens, and was about 180cm tall with a skinny build.

The girl said he spoke with an accent she was unfamiliar with and was wearing a black hoodie with long dark pants at the time.

The other passenger has not been further described while the car also had green P plates attached to it.
