One of the girls shoves the other, who retaliates and pushes back, at which point the first girl pulls the knife and raises it in a stabbing position at the other’s throat.

At this point a teacher reportedly breaks up the fight with no one injured and the knife wielding girl walks away, slipping the knife back into her schoolbag.

A spokesperson for NSW Education told 9News said that the department ‘has a zero tolerance policy towards bullying, violence, and harassment,’ and that anyone who brings a weapon to school faces a mandatory suspension.

‘Appropriate disciplinary action was taken immediately and police were contacted,’ the spokesperson continued.

‘The school is providing counselling and support to the other student.’
