A teenager is fighting for his life after being gunned down in west London.

Police were called at 8.29pm last night after reports of gun fire, on Walterton Road, in Maida Vale.

Officers found the individual, understood to be in his late teens, suffering from a gunshot wound.

He was taken to hospital and is currently in a critical condition.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said:  Police were called at 20:29hrs to reports of gunshots heard on Walterton Road, W9. 

‘A man in his late teens was suffering from a gunshot injury, he was taken to hospital where he is in a critical condition. 

‘Anyone with info is asked to call police via 101 quoting CAD 7338/3Dec’
