Teresa Giudice’s daughter Gia Giudice asked for a ‘private meeting with Jackie Goldschneider

Real Housewives of New Jersey star Jackie Goldschneider caused some major drama on the Season 11 premiere with a controversial analogy about Teresa Giudice’s 20-year-old daughter Gia, who has now responded.

Goldschneider, 44, was upset that Giudice, 48, was repeating rumors that her husband Evan, 46, was cheating, with Goldschneider making the analogy that the rumors were like saying Gia, ‘snorts coke in the bathroom’ during college parties.

While Gia had tweeted about the analogy when the premiere debuted in February, she spoke out further during Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen’s The Real Housekids of Bravo special, airing May 9, with a clip from ET.

During the special, Cohen asked Gia if her mother, ‘was in the right’ for being so angry at Jackie for the drug analogy she used in reference to Gia.

‘Absolutely. I was, like, completely disgusted by it. I never thought my name would ever be brought up,’ the college student revealed.

‘Especially just, like, being on the show for so long, no Housewife has ever disrespected me. And for me to ever — for one person to ever use my name in a poor manner, I was like, in shock,’ Gia added.

After the episode aired, Jackie responded on Twitter, stating, ‘My analogy about Gia was simply an analogy – there was no truth to it of course. The rest of the cast understood this, which you’ll see in the coming weeks. The behavior at my husband’s birthday party is truly unfortunate – destroying a marriage and family is not entertainment.’

Gia took to Twitter a few days later, making it clear that it was still wrong of Goldschneider to say that.

‘Saying it was an analogy is making it excusable, it’s not. My character is now being questioned. My name was used to make a point. No one should be used in that way, I am suffering the consequences for such an outlandish and untrue statement. While her marriage is happy & in tact,’ Gia said.

When asked on the show if Goldschneider has apologized to her since then, Gia said, ‘Well, honestly, I reached out to her.’

‘I had complaints from my sorority. I was almost put in a meeting, because they wanted to make sure I was OK,’ Gia said.

‘I dealt with a lot of things because of this analogy, and I made her very aware of that. And then, following that, she did apologize and then she did her Twitter apology, which I did… I, like, I thought it was all right, but it wasn’t anything too crazy,’ she added.

ET also reached out to Goldschneider after the premiere, who insisted she wasn’t trying to start rumors about Teresa’s eldest daughter.

‘She’s a great girl and I would never want to hurt her reputation. I just want to make sure everyone understands that it was really just to get Teresa to understand — at the very end of a long and frustrating conversation — how I was feeling,’ she said.

She added, ‘There was absolutely no truth to that. It was definitely just an analogy. I was trying to make the point about … how words can hurt.’
