This is the heart-stopping moment a teenager performing a wheelie on Tower Bridge veers onto the other side of the road and narrowly misses a bus.

Darren Whelan, 38, was driving through London with his brother-in-law on Thursday at about 10.30am when he captured the close shave.

All of a sudden, one of the cyclists drifts into the right-hand lane and starts to perform a wheelie.

He then quickly has to jolt the handlebars when he notices an oncoming London bus which he misses by inches.

The young cyclist then nearly veers into the front of Mr Whelan’s car, causing him to slam on his brakes as the boy darts across the road.

The pair then continue to perform wheelies on the iconic bridge, holding up traffic as they cycle in the middle of the lane.

Mr Whelan said: ‘I was gobsmacked even though I see it every day it makes me angry every day. These kids have no concern for anyone else.

‘It was a shock because he was either going to be hit by a bus or I was going to hit him.

‘I have no idea how he did not get hit by the bus.’
