A Texas hospital has just experienced a baby boom with a whopping 48 newborns being delivered in just 41 hours.

The nursery at Baylor Scott & White All Saints Medical Center in Fort Worth was as full as it has ever been when the influx of babies came into the world between June 26 and June 28.

Extra staff were called in as labor teams worked around the clock to deliver 27 baby girls and 21 baby boys, including one set of twins.

The name ‘Isaiah’ was a popular one with three of the babies born during the boom given the name.

While the hospital is known for its high-delivery rates, this particular influx in births was considered rare and exceptional.

Most babies are born in July, August and September, according to Texas state records.

‘Congrats to the families on their sweet new additions!’ the hospital wrote on its Facebook page alongside a video of the full nursery.

The hospital averages about 15 deliveries per day, and welcomed nearly 5700 babies in 2017, including 101 sets of twins and 2 sets of triplets.

The twins born during this week’s baby boom are the 41st set of twins born at the hospital this year.

This is the second baby boom to happen at a Baylor Scott & White hospital in the past two weeks.

Between June 17 and June 19, staff at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas welcomed 42 babies in 48 hours.

At one point, nine mothers were ready to deliver at the same time. Their babies were born within 40 minutes.
