Texas men’s basketball coach Chris Beard has been arrested on a felony domestic violence charge after allegedly strangling a family member, according to the Travis County Sheriff’s Office.
The 49-year-old Beard is currently being booked on a charge of third-degree assault of a family member ‘impede breath circulation’ or strangulation, according to ESPN.
‘He is in our custody,’ a department official told ESPN. ‘I can confirm he is the person who is in our booking process.’
