The 30-year-old rapper/model underwent an emergency surgery in Miami after finding breast lumps.

‘I just want this to be the last time I go through this. Cancer runs through my family, so it’s a scary thing both for me and Iman,’ she said of her husband, NBA star Iman Shumpert.

She added the first thing she thought of after the surgery are her two kids with Shumpert, five-year-old Junie and 11-month-old Rue.

‘When will I be able to hold my babies again?’ Teyana asked her doctor, who told her to wait at least six weeks until she can lift her kids after the surgery on her chest and under-arms.

‘It’s tough, I’m definitely overwhelmed because I miss my kids so much, I miss Iman so much,’ she said in confession after her week-long recovery.

‘That’s probably the longest I’ve been away from them. My number one priority is to hurry up and get back home, but I know I need to take care of what I need to take care of as well,’ she added.

She ultimately returned to her home in Atlanta, where Junie greeted her with a homemade card and flowers.

‘Oh my gosh, it’s so great to see them right now because honestly this week in Miami has been very, very emotional for me because it’s very seldom that we’re apart,’ Teyana shared.

While she added that Junie is so, ‘loving and caring,’  her youngest child Rue was confused why her mother couldn’t pick her up right away.

‘Rue don’t understand what’s going on. She’s like, “Pick me up, hello, what are you doing?”‘ Teyana said.

She added she can’t do any tight hugs. I don’t even know if I’m going to last six weeks.’

Still, she added later that she knew the surgery was ultimately worth it all, in the long run.

‘I accept every single body scar, everything that comes with mommy-hood, but the changes physically, mentally, emotionally, it’s crazy. As mommies, we really are super-women,’ she said.
