Then she heads to Chemist Warehouse to buy the one litre bottle of Redwin Sorbolene Mosituriser, which has added vitamin E for $6.

‘What I do is I take them into a shower with me, I combine a small scoop ground coffee with about 10 pumps of the cream and I apply it,’ she said.

Once it’s been left on the skin for as long as she desires she washes it off, leaving moisturised skin behind.

The top body scrub hacks

– Mix together baby oil, sand and add a drop of vanilla essence for added fragrance

– Run water through a used coffee pod and combine raw sugar and coconut oil to create the perfect blend of hydration and exfoliation

– Simply combine brown sugar and olive oil for an ‘amazing scrub’

– Combine three tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil, two tablespoons of organic honey and half a cup of organic sugar

– Mix together white sugar and coconut oil for a fluffy consistency and add however many drops you desire of lemon essential oil

DIY experts on Facebook have revealed that there are a variety of more affordable hacks that people can use instead.

One tip simply requires a trip to the beach and a squirt of baby oil.

‘Even better and cheaper – just use home brand baby oil and sand from the beach, and add a drop or two of vanilla extract to make it smell amazing along with the coffee,’ a person said.

Another recommended using coffee pods that have already been used as it doesn’t involve spending any extra money.

‘I used three pods and two tablespoons of coconut oil and a tablespoon of raw sugar,’ she said.

They said people just need to run some water through the pod and add raw sugar and coconut oil.

The woman then stores it in a container and makes herself enough to last a week at a time.

‘I have been doing this for a while too and love it – will never use another body scrub again!’ Another woman said.

‘My husband and kids hate the smell of coffee so I make them one using coconut oil, raw sugar and vanilla extract.’

Another said that they make themselves two different batches, one with tea tree oil for her face and arms when they’re blotchy.

For the other one she said she adds lavender oil and uses it in the evenings as it’s a ‘safe’ and ‘mild’ scrub.
