A lip balm created for men is being hailed by Australian beauty aficionados as a must-have product for naturally hydrated lips.

Jack Black is a leader in the field of men’s cosmetics and its much-loved lip treatment, Intense Therapy Lip Balm, has been a top seller for years.

Hordes of male and female fans love the formulation because it glides on smoothly, doesn’t leave any sticky residue and comes packed with SPF 25.

And the lip balm only costs a very affordable $12.

The long-lasting lip balm, designed to hydrate and heal even the most chapped lips, is derived from a host of natural ingredients.

Grapefruit and ginger refreshes and soothes, while shea butter and avocado oil help to soften and condition lips.

The lip treatment is vegan, sulphate and colour-free and safe for sensitive skin.

‘This product has been my Holy Grail in lip balm for a few years now,’ she wrote.

‘I fumbled across different varieties of Chapstick and Blistex for years until I found this product.

‘It’s the most hydrating I have used, and I love that it’s not super sticky, or sparkly.’

A third, KaiaS, said the lip balm was ‘literally the only lip balm’ she will use.

‘The natural mint one is the best lip balm on planet earth I’ll literally fight anyone who thinks otherwise,’ she wrote on the site.

‘It’s so smooth and amazing, and I love love love that super tingly cool feeling. Jack Black has perfected the art of minty lip balm, and I am a minty lip balm expert.’

Others who had tried the lip balm said while they liked the formulation, the flavour didn’t resonate.

‘The lip balm is very efficient, it soothes dry lips and protects from sunburns. The only thing I don’t like about it it’s the strong mint taste,’ Mariesta wrote.

While another said her only complaint was the product wasn’t as long-lasting as she would have liked.

‘I love this stuff because its minty freshness tingles on my lips and it has SPF. Plus, it’s clear.

‘My only complaint is that it doesn’t stay on very long, but it definitely helps keep your lips moisturised, and I have an auto-immune disease that causes my lips to be very dry. I always keep this in my purse.

The lip balm isn’t stocked in Sephora Australia, however, it is available directly from the brand.
