The $20 supermarket ‘mix and match’ meat offer shoppers are snapping up – but you’ve got to be quick

A mum was pleasantly surprised to find a ‘mix and match’ meat offer at Coles that saw some foods going for a third of the price.

Caitlin, from New South Wales, shared a post detailing the popular supermarket’s unbelievable offer on a Facebook group dedicated to budgeting.

‘PSA: Coles are doing a 3 for $20 mix and match for some meats, and they have added these chicken portions which are usually between $13-$16 each, depending on the weight.’

The offer is available in-stores and online across Australia until January 24.

Several types of meat are included in the 3 for $20 special, including beef sandwich steak, honey soy chicken, pull pork pasties with apple and bbq sauce.

Customers can also enjoy scotch steak with rosemary and honey butter, pork belly slices with Asian bbq glaze, and chicken drumsticks fillets sweet chilli at the discounted price.

The mum revealed that she bought three portions of the chicken for $20, and recommended that the rest of the group stock up while they still could.

‘It’s definitely worth getting onto and stocking up while they’re so cheap,’ she wrote.

While Caitlin’s purchase would have usually rung up to $44, the mum only spent $20 on her portions of barbecue chicken.

Many thanked the mum for her keen eye and shared the excellent deals they got on the meat.

‘Thank you for this post!’ one woman wrote. ‘I got eight packs of meat for $60.’

‘Great savings and it’s good that you can mix so that they don’t all have to be the same item,’ another added.
