As winter rears its head again, many will be wanting to prolong that bronzed summer look.

But there is one fake tan that beauty experts love above all others.

St Tropez’s Extra Dark Mousse, which costs $59.99 from Priceline, is recommended by beauty buffs at beauty website, Beauticate.

Many have said they love the product because you can ‘choose your depth of dark’ and leave it on for four hours for a standard dark tan or sleep in it for eight hours for an extra-dark bronzed look that lasts for days.

The product has a three and a half star rating on Priceline’s website, where reviewers have called it the ‘best tan ever’ and ‘worth the price’.

‘Awesome self tanner. I used St Tropez for many years then switched to Loving Tan (thanks Instagram!),’ one person posted.

‘But I tried the new St Tropez extra dark bronzing mousse and I’m sticking with it! You get a deep dark natural looking tan that doesn’t sit in the dry spots like knees and elbows.’

While the product might seem pricey, many say it’s as good as options triple the price.

2. Pantene Micellar Water Shampoo and Conditioner, $13

In 2019, many women are on the hunt for a shampoo that doesn’t strip their hair of the natural protective oils.

Pantene’s micellar water range is popular with many beauty experts, because the micellar water easily and gently removes any dirt without getting rid of your hair’s natural shine.

‘Not only that, but the range is also pH-balanced, silicone, paraben and dye-free,’ hair experts at Beauticate said.

This means it’s easier to maintain shiny, healthy locks – all for just $13.

3. Real Techniques Foundation Brush, $34.99

With an impressive 4.3 star rating out of five, the Real Techniques Foundation Brush for $34.99 has long been a secret weapon of those in the know.

Experts at Beauticate love it because it has a large and ‘densely packed’ oval head, which makes it easier to cover a bigger surface area and blend outwards for ‘seamless’ results.

‘This brush ALMOST gets a five star review from me. I love absolutely everything about it – how soft and densely packed the bristles are, how flawlessly it blends my foundation, how quickly I can do an entire face with it because of its perfect size,’ one person posted on Adore Beauty.

‘BUT I do find it quite difficult to clean. I find it takes me about 3-4 times as long as it takes me to clean any other foundation brush because there are sooo many bristles to loosen the foundation from.’

Others said they love the $34.99 product because it speeds up the application of their entire makeup routine.

4. La Roche-Posay Anthelios XL Sun Cream, $29.99

This sun cream has long been a favourite with beauty experts, to such an extent that in 2018 it was voted the best sun cream in the world.

The Annual Sunscreen Guide by the Consumer Report tested 70 different sun creams, with La Roche Posay’s $29.99 option winning out because it most effectively blocks from both UVA and UVB rays.

The cult budget sun cream is also popular because it contains avobenzone, a chemical active ingredient which researchers have found to be more successful at blocking harmful rays than mineral sunscreens containing ingredients like zinc oxide.

It contains the antioxidant, Baicalin, to fight free radicals on the surface of the skin whilst offering the highest UVA and UVB sun protection.

La Roche-Posay’s sun cream has a three star rating on Priceline, with people describing it as their ‘holy grail’ product.
