The Amazing Race Australia contestants Tim Sattler and Rod Jones have set the record straight on wild rumours surrounding their sex life.

The couple addressed the ‘outrageous’ gossip about their relationship on the Real House Husbands podcast on Tuesday.

Tim and Rod claimed a former friend had spread the ‘horrendous’, ‘damaging’ and ‘completely untrue’ gossip about them participating in group sex.

While Rod acknowledged the couple’s raunchy Instagram photos encourage the gossip, he insisted the pair are strictly monogamous.

‘Our pictures get a lot of traction,’ he said.

‘Normally, horny gay boys will comment on our posts and say sexually explicit sort of things. “Are you guys into third?” “Can I join?”‘

Tim said a someone close to the couple had ‘gone behind their backs’ by spreading lies about their supposedly polyamorous lifestyle to their family and friends.

‘This person started rumours that we were out-of-control party animals that had hectic threesomes and hectic gangbangs,’ Rod said. 

The men said they believed the false rumours damaged their reputation; however, they clarified they didn’t disapprove of polyamory.  

‘We put out to the world that we are a monogamous couple,’ Rod said.

‘And yeah, if you want to do that in your own relationship, go for it. But we don’t want people thinking that we’re open to that.

‘We don’t judge whatever makes you happy, do it, but it is just not our cup of tea. We like being with each other. Just the two of us.’

In August last year, the couple were forced to explain they were in a monogamous relationship after being bombarded with messages from hundreds of randy fans.

‘In response to the hundreds of DM’s we get… Yes we’re a married couple,’ the pair wrote underneath the raunchy photo of themselves.  

The pair then reconfirmed they were in a strictly exclusively relationship. 

‘No, we’re not open [in an open relationship]. No, we don’t have three-ways. Yes, we’re monogamous,’ they continued.

The couple concluded by saying they wanted ‘positive vibes only’.

Despite ‘a few sketchy’ moments on The Amazing Race, Tim and Rod are still going strong in their relationship. 

The pair married in March 2019, two years after getting together. However, Tim went on to propose to Rod again during the season finale of The Amazing Race.
