The Bachelor 2021: Inside the new mansion in Dural in Sydney’s west

The Bachelor will be moving to a new mansion ahead of its ninth season, Daily Mail Australia can reveal.

The $6.3million property, in Dural in Sydney’s north-west, sits on five acres of land and features French chateau-inspired architecture.

The home, known as Le Chateau, features a long driveway leading to the mansion and an elegant fountain.

In the centre of the fountain are tall statues of horses and mythical creatures.

The facade of the property includes details inspired by French country estates, in addition to sandstone steps, a mansard roof and manicured gardens.

Aerial photos show dozens of crates and a forklift truck outside the home as production begins on The Bachelor.

There’s an outdoor entertaining area around the back, which would be the perfect place for the cocktail parties.

Meanwhile, the women can keep fit using the tennis court and gymnasium.

The grounds of the estate are perfect for group dates, meaning the cast and crew won’t need to travel far beyond the mansion.

Last year, a well-placed source told Daily Mail Australia the producers were ‘tired of the show being spoiled by paparazzi photos’ and so moved location.

Before setting up in Dural, The Bachelor and The Bachelorette were filmed at a $2.3million property in Oxford Falls, in Sydney’s north.

This house served as the location for Locky Gilbert, Matt Agnew and Nick Cummins’ seasons of The Bachelor, and Elly and Becky Miles, Angie Kent and Ali Oetjen’s seasons of The Bachelorette.

Before production moved to Oxford Falls, The Bachelor franchise had been filmed in houses in Hunters Hill and Glenorie.

Dural is only 40 minutes’ drive from Sydney’s central business district, which is likely where the single dates will take place.

The Bachelor will begin filming its ninth season in the coming weeks, with Osher Günsberg returning as host.
