The Bachelor alum and Army veteran Jubilee Sharpe, 28, is arrested for a DUI in Florida

Former The Bachelor contestant Jubilee Sharpe, 28, was arrested for a DUI in West Palm Beach, Florida on Sunday.

Law enforcement have yet to release the details of Sharpe’s arrest, but officials did confirm to TMZ that the reality star was ‘released under her own recognizance’ following her initial detainment.

Sharpe first graced television screens during season 20 of the popular ABC reality show where she vied for the heart of then 26-year-old software engineer Ben Higgins.

Hours prior to her arrest, Jubilee shared a short clip to her Instagram story of herself in the passenger’s seat of an SUV with a male companion.

‘Did you die, though?,’ captioned The Bachelor Alum ominously. 

Jubilee had a tragic childhood back in her home country of Haiti, having lost both her parents and her three brothers by the time she was just six-years-old.

During The Bachelor’s Women Tell All post-show special in 2016, the Haitian native went into detail regarding the events that followed the loss of her family members.

‘My 4-year-old little sister and I went to live with my grandmother, but she had leprosy and was dying and too sick to take care of us. So she put me and my little sister in an orphanage,’ explained the reality star.

Jubilee was later adopted, but her only living sibling, an unnamed four-year-old sister, could not be adopted out due to an incurable medical condition.

According to Sharpe, she was never able to locate her sister following her adoption, which relocated her to Oregon. 

She would later join the military, but took a short break from duty in order to star on The Bachelor in 2016. 

In Higgins’ The Bachelor season, Sharpe was sent home early on in the game after she infamously ambushed the eligible bachelor during a group date.

The group date placed Higgins and his female hopefuls within the walls of a Spanish language classroom, where they were expected to bond, while picking up some phrases from the love language. 

During the episode, Jubilee commented that it was hard for her to watch Ben ‘be around the other girls’ and that she was spending ‘so much time being jealous,’ while ‘fighting for a glance’ against ‘nine other girls.’

Sharpe called out the software engineer for uttering ‘I love you’ in Spanish to all of the women, thus not making it ‘special.’ 

She was then booted off during the fifth episode’s rose ceremony.

Sharpe, an Army veteran, also appeared as a contestant in both season three and season five of The Bachelor spin-off, Bachelor in Paradise.

During her first stab at the spin-off, she was booted off in the very first week. 

But during her return in season five, Sharpe left on her own accord in the show’s third week.
