With just one night to go before The Bachelor reaches it’s climax, fans were expecting nothing but unbridled romance on Wednesday night’s episode.

So it came as a surprise when Nick ‘The Honey Badger’ Cummins decided to spend a portion of his date with Sophie Tieman jumping out of a plane.  

Blonde property valuer Sophie appeared to be visibly shaken as the ex-Wallabies star, 30, informed her of their extremely confronting one-on-one date.

That’s not very romantic! It came as a surprise when Nick ‘The Honey Badger’ Cummins decided to spend a portion of his date with Sophie Tieman jumping out of a plane on Wednesday night’s episode, given that the finale is just around the corner 

‘Never wanted to jump out of a plane,’ Sophie announced in a piece-to-camera during Wednesday night’s episode. 

Seconds later the panic-stricken pair were seen travelling through the sky in a small airplane.

‘I’m really freaking out!’ the terrified hopeful announced.

Nick appeared to be equally frightened by the experience as he declared: ‘I’m as nervous as a goose in a doona factory.’ 

However the date appeared to go from bad to worse as it was revealed Nick and Sophie didn’t go through with the sky dive in the end. 

However Nick proceeded to put a positive spin on the experience and explained ‘tough times can often bring people closer together.’

After landing safely down on the ground, Nick whisked Sophie away for a romantic picnic.

‘I’m definitely falling head over heels for him,’ Sophie said as she enjoyed the intimate encounter.

‘When I close my eyes, I forget about the hustle and bustle,’ she added.
