Irena Srbinovska proudly worked as a nurse for a decade before finding love with Locky Gilbert on The Bachelor last year.
And after taking 12 months off, the 32-year-old has now revealed she is ready to get back into her uniform and return to the hospital ward.
Speaking to The Daily Telegraph on Monday, Irena said that she was excited to be returning to work on the front line with hopes of a more ‘normal’ life.

‘I got really burnt out last year … I was overwhelmed,’ she explained.
Irena said that she felt ‘burnt out’ while working as a frontline worker amid a global pandemic.
‘Every day I’d sit in the car park and just cry, and I’d struggle to get myself out of the car to get to work.’

Srbinovska recently joined the Know Shingles campaign to raise awareness about the viral disease.
Last month she told fans that over the past decade she has had worked several different roles at Geelong Hospital and was ready to return to work.
‘I have taken some time to get back into it but I am finally going back to work… watch this space. News coming soon!’ she teased.

Her advice for new graduates was to ‘try out everything’ and ‘don’t be afraid to ask questions’, adding: ‘That’s how we learn. And never think you know everything; we are always learning.’
Irena’s career update comes after she found love with former Australian Survivor star Locky Gilbert on season eight of The Bachelor last year.
Since falling in love, the couple have spent plenty of time travelling across Australia.
