The Bachelorette: Jackson Garlick is caught Photoshopping himself with stars

He is a favourite to win Angie Kent’s heart on The Bachelorette.

But it’s starting to look like Jackson Garlick may not be on the dating show for the right reasons, as his Instagram account portrays him as a desperate wannabe.

Daily Mail Australia can reveal the 25-year-old sales manager has been Photoshopping himself into pictures with celebrities and trying to pass them off as genuine encounters for years.

In one picture, he has superimposed himself alongside Leonardo DiCaprio outside the Hard Rock Cafe on Hollywood Boulevard in California.

The photo of Leonardo is actually 12 years old and was taken at a pre-Oscars party in 2007. In the original picture, the actor is posing next to singer Jonah Johnson.

It’s unclear if Jackson edited the photo himself or had it professionally made at Universal Studios Florida, where he had been pictured wearing the same outfit.

Jackson’s Instagram account also features photos of him with Lara Bingle, Jesinta Campbell, Chris Lilley and George Burgess. It’s unclear if these pictures were also digitally altered.

When contacted for comment by Daily Mail Australia, Jackson confirmed that his ‘encounter’ with the Titanic star never happened.

He laughed off the gaffe, writing: ‘Photoshopped hahaha’.

The discovery comes after sources told New Idea that Jackson is a ‘massive player’ and ‘not on [The Bachelorette] for the right reasons’.

‘The girls he hangs around are nothing like Angie,’ said the insider. ‘She’s not his type and everyone knows he is on the show simply for his profile.’

‘He’s desperate to be a famous influencer,’ they added.
