And Sam Cochrane has opened up about a darker time in his life as a teenager, when a childhood friend was shot and killed.
The 31-year-old recalled the tragedy he experienced as a 13-year-old in an interview with TV WEEK on Monday.

The reality TV star described the moment his close mate was fatally shot at a party in the Blue Mountains when they were in their early teens.
‘It was really shocking. As a grown man now, I look back and think that’s not something a kid is supposed to be able to process,’ he explained.
‘It’s stuck with me forever. We all experience tragedy, I suppose, but that sort of tragedy was very brutal and raw.’

The voice-over artist revealed the culprit was ‘much older’ than his victim and postulated the crime ‘was over a girl’, although that theory was never confirmed.
He went on to say the incident was ‘an eye-opening experience’ for him as a teenager at the time and he will never forget such a ‘painful memory.’

According to a report by NW magazine on Monday, the 37-year-old will tie the knot with her chosen winner in what could be the first ever Bachelorette wedding.
‘This kind of news is hard for her to keep a secret, she said she thought this would never happen for her – it’s an emotional time,’ a source told the magazine.
‘Security had to be top-notch to keep this one under wraps. It happened really fast but this is why she went on the show – to prove she’s serious this time,’ they added.
