The Bachelor’s Ashlea Harvey reveals secret health struggle

She’s the single mother who failed to receive a rose from Nick ‘The Honey Badger’ Cummins on the sixth season of The Bachelor.

Now Ashlea Harvey, 30, has opened up about her secret health battle following her departure from the mansion.

The bubbly blonde took to her Instagram story on Thursday to reveal she’s been battling health issues over the past few months. 

‘Those who are close in my life know I’ve been battling health issues the last few months,’ she wrote in the caption.

While Ashlea declined to reveal her condition she informed her followers she beat her battle with ‘surgeries’ and ‘lifestyle changes.’

‘With surgeries and change of lifestyle I can happily say I’ve received the best news this morning… I’ve come out the other side with clear results,’ she confessed.

The former hopeful continued to gush in the caption, adding: ‘Happy and blessed is an understatement.’   

Daily Mail Australia reached out to Ashlea Harvey for comment. 

Taking to Instagram shortly after being eliminated from the show, Ashlea praised Nick for understanding her heart was ultimately back home with her son.

‘He accepted my life on the outside was grateful and excited when I shared the news I was a single mum with a beautiful 9yr old little man who is my complete world… [sic]’ she wrote.

‘Tonight I left the mansion but it was a mutual feeling I shared with Nick I wanted to be back home with my little man so I was grateful he understood and sent me home!’

Ashlea is a proud single mother to nine-year-old son, Jayden.
