The Bachelor’s Romy Poulier has denied she is a paid actress after her TV career was revealed.
The photo shoot director told Who magazine on Thursday that she is genuinely looking for love with Nick ‘The Honey Badger’ Cummins after it was revealed she previously appeared on Home and Away among other shows.
‘I wasn’t hired as a paid actor,’ she said.

‘I’ve done a few TV shows, I love acting and its my passion, but it’s also inconsistent,’ she explained.
‘I’m not stupid, I know [The Bachelor] helps boost people’s profiles, I knew going in that [my acting career] would probably come up, but at the same time – hand on my heart – I’m 29 and single and was ready to fall in love.’
Last week, Daily Mail Australia revealed Romy once worked as a backup dancer to singer Nikki Webster and also appeared on TV shows, including Terra Nova and The Elephant Princess.

She also landed an audition for the 2014 Schapelle Corby TV biopic, but she missed out on the role which eventually went to Krew Boylan.
On Wednesday, Lise Carlaw of the Hit Network’s Those Two Girls, questioned whether Romy was planted on the show to stir up drama.
‘I’m gonna say it here, she’s an actress,’ Lise alleged.
‘This is what I found out, she’s appeared on Home an Away, she’s done a web series as a lead actress, she even auditioned for the Schapelle Corby movie, she’s been nominated for a Matilda Award, she appeared in a film clip with Nikki Webster.’

A Network Ten spokesperson confirmed the surprising news to E! Australia, revealing that Romy was a child star who once starred in a production of The Sound of Music.
