The Bachelor’s Tim Robards updates fans on his recovery after revealing his shocking leg injury from a hospital bed following football field accident


Tim Robards is recovering after injuring himself on the football field.

And on Sunday, the former Bachelor star, 39, updated his fans on how he’s going in an Instagram post. 

Alongside an image that showed the former reality star on crutches outside a gym, he explained that he was up and about after leaving hospital.

‘Realised I still have two arms and one good leg,’ he wrote. Slow and steady but still moving forward, not backwards…

‘To be honest, I love my couch at night with some Netflix but can only take so much during the day!’   

In an Instagram post on Thursday, Tim shared photos from his ward at a Sydney  hospital and revealed he had to have his rectus femoris muscle reattached.

Tim tore his muscle right before he was about to score on the footy field, and said he will be relying on crutches and a leg brace ‘for the next month or so’ during his rehabilitation as he approaches turning 40.

‘In a moment of what can only be described as pure glory… I was dashing down the footy field in glorious full flight… about to score… and then RIP,’ Tim began his post.

The fitness enthusiast revealed how he had to have his rectus femoris muscle reattached in order to ‘walk and run again properly’.
