The best bargains to get your hands on this Boxing Day

If you’re braving the sales this Boxing Day Sale morning, you might feel better prepared once you’ve read this. But you’ll have to do battle with the crowds of shoppers, who have descended on central Sydney and other Australian cities to snag the best deals.

Here, FEMAIL rounds up what you need to know and some of the best things you can get your hands on this December 26. From cut-price Dysons to reduced Fenty beauty, there’s plenty to covet.

First of all, there is plenty of action from Australian department stores.

David Jones has clearance sales of up to 50 percent on offer on fashion, shoes, and accessories, as well as up to 40 percent on homewares, appliances, tech, and beds.

Meanwhile, Myer is offering a massive 50 percent off cookware, 40 percent off linen, 20 percent off appliances, 25 percent off women’s clothing, 30 percent off men’s and children’s clothing, and 40 percent off luggage.

Some of the picks include a Breville juicer, reduced to AUD $119, from Myer, or an Antler suitcase, down from $279 to $139.50.

Elsewhere, if you asked for a pair of over-ear headphones but no one delivered this Christmas, you can thank the sales gods – Beats by Dre’s rose gold version are down to just $299 at Myer.

At the moment, you can buy colorful leggings which usually retail for over $100 for $85.

Finally, it wouldn’t be the sales unless there was a mass of beauty products just waiting for eagle-eyed shoppers.

Australians are expected to hit the shops in droves today, with National Retail Association chief executive, Dominique Lamb, saying shoppers were expected to spend $2.36 billion on Boxing Day.

This is up three percent on the 2016 figure of $2.28 billion.

‘This is a much-needed revenue for retailers,’ she said in Brisbane on Sunday.

This is definitely a record-breaking Boxing Day, we certainly haven’t seen these figures for some time,’ she added.
