The best BBQ setup

Most of us always associate summers with plain old, family-friendly, backyard BBQ. The smell of charcoal and cooking meat with cold beverages. Pure bliss.

A little history lesson: even though the first gas grill was invented in the 1930s, the act of ‘grilling’ can be traced to the 17th century. In that time the Caribbean and South American tribes used sticks on top of a fire to create such flames and placed the meat on top of it.

Now the traditional and original Charcoal Briquette was invented in 1897, in Pennsylvania. It was built in one. Later moveable ones were created. Innovation happened and Gas grills and Electric grills are invented for easier use and access.

Charcoal Grill

Moveable or immoveable, this Briquette is the original one. The device uses hot burning coals under a grill rack on top of which the meat or any other food item you want to grill is placed on.

The positive factor is that it gives the food an amazing smoky flavor along with the iconic grill marks. It is also very easily accessible and affordable.

What can be the downside is that the temperature on this apparatus cannot be controlled and may or may not lead to burnt food if not carefully looked after.

Gas Grill

A gas grill is an advanced form of the traditional one. It comes in many ranges and sizes. Rather than coal, as the name implies, it uses gas as fuel. The meat is cooked on a grill which is heated by gas flued fire.

The best part about gas grills is that the temperature is adjustable, making it easier to cook the food and with very few chances of anything burning.

It also portable, making it ideal for outdoors and indoors, depending on what the consumer wants.

Other than the fact that it carries dangers any gas-fueled stove or grill has, the gas grill has no negative points to it.

Built-in grills provide much flexibility and convenience. When used with the appropriate kitchen apparatus, they are far better than freestanding grills for outdoor uses. You should get a built-in gas grill if you want to enjoy a seamless outdoor cooking experience.

Electric Grill

An electric grill is any grilling device that uses electricity to produce a source of heat to cook meals. It comes in different sizes and ranges making a diverse selection to choose from.

The electric grill has many great points such as the no flame factor. It is the only grill type that can be very easily used indoors without any threats. It is portable and can be used anywhere there is an electricity source. They are environment friendly and pollute less.

The main issue for food lovers here would be that the electric grill produces near to zero smoke which is an important factor in the flavor development of grilled items.

Regardless of what type of grill one chooses, it should have the following qualities to make a splendid BBQ:

  • Good quality, thick and, stainless steel interior and exterior.
  • High-quality burners
  • Even the heat circulatory system
  • Hood insulation to create the perfect moisture for when the grill is closed
  • Heavy-duty cooking grates
  • Affordable price

There are many beautiful and sturdy built-in grills on the market, both gas and coal ones. They provide much more ease and convenience. One should be careful and mindful of the above-mentioned qualities and buy a grill accordingly.
