The Block: Viewers baffled as Ronnie and Georgia ‘disappear’ from the finale

They finished in a disappointing fifth place on auction day.

And it seems The Block contestants Ronnie and Georgia Caceres vanished without a trace following the underwhelming sale of their four-bedroom home for $3,696,000.

Many fans flocked to Twitter to express their confusion on Sunday, asking ‘where’s Ronnie and Georgia?’

Missing in action: The Block viewers were left perplexed when Ronnie and Georgia Caceres seemingly vanished without a trace during Sunday night’s season finale

The couple were notably absent from the post-auction celebrations, as the teams congratulated each other on their respective sales.

One viewer speculated that Ronnie and Georgia had disappeared so they wouldn’t have to congratulate certain other teams who had been accused of cheating.

‘Can’t believe Ronnie left the room so he didn’t have to hug Tanya and Vito,’ they wrote.

Other tweets amusingly made reference to Ronnie and Georgia’s poor showing on The Block in 2017.

Back then the parents placed fourth out of the five teams.

One jokester tweeted: ‘Ronnie and Georgia [are] one auction away from being on a milk carton and I can hardly blame them.’

Another blamed the couple’s poor showing on their home’s façade, which they described as looking ‘like a tin shed’.

The couple sold their property for $3,696,000, making a $296,000 profit.

On an episode in September, Mitch stormed off the set and told Darren Palmer, Shaynna Blaze and Neale Whitaker to ‘go f**k yourselves’ in an explosive piece to camera after they found fault in their kitchen not having a designated pantry.

Speaking to Woman’s Day magazine that month, the stylish granddads accused the expert panel of being ‘disrespectful’ by providing ‘silly, unfounded’ feedback about their rooms, calling for the judges to be replaced.

‘For Shaynna to make comments like ‘I hate it’ and then for Neale to say ‘it’s better for our room to burn down’… They know that people have worked really, really hard,’ Mitch lamented.

Mark agreed, arguing that Shaynna, Neale and Darren are ‘out of touch’ when it comes to the property market and aren’t fit to dole out advice.

‘The judges aren’t real estate agents – they don’t sell in the market,’ Mark said, adding: It would be good timing for the longevity of The Block to bring in people who have new ideas. Fresh blood would be great.’

‘And some talent,’ Mitch jeered, before suggesting he and Mitch should take over as judges.

Since premiering on Channel 9 in 2003, The Block, Australia’s richest reality program, has now awarded a total of $28,771,471 in prize money across 17 seasons.
