Front Facade
‘First impressions always count, so when people arrive at your home, be sure to give them something impressive that their eye is drawn to,’ the interior designer duo said.
‘This could be a feature front door painted in a contrasting colour, or a porch with fresh decking and a sitting area.
‘Potted plants either side of your entry way are a great way to greet guests to your home by simply adding a touch of green.’
Kitchen
‘For many Australians, the kitchen is the hub of the home,’ the pair explained.
‘A fresh kitchen that people can see themselves cooking and entertaining in can be a huge selling point.
‘Some tips to update an existing kitchen could be to freshen up cabinetry with a coat of paint, update handles and new tiled splashback.
‘Look for ways to increase the functional working area of the kitchen – such as purchasing a butcher’s block.’

Bathrooms
‘Most people are aware that bathrooms are one of the most expensive rooms to renovate. A tired, outdated bathroom can really turn a buyer off,’ the couple said.
‘If your bathroom is water tight and plumbing intact, there are small changes that can make a big difference to how the room looks.
‘For example, replacing old tapware, updating towel rails and accessories, freshening up tiles using paint, and the use of a feature mirror. We’ve done this in bathrooms before by making mirror frames using recycled timber.’

Living Area
‘The ultimate goal is to ensure that when people walk into your living space, they can imagine themselves relaxing and entertaining in there,’ the duo said.
‘A great place to start is by giving the walls a fresh coat of paint. A statement piece of furniture will add intrigue and character.
‘This could be a gorgeous up-cycled coffee table as an example. An oversized mirror is a great way to give the illusion of space and bounce light around a room.’

Landscaping
‘A neat and tidy front entrance will ensure the first impression is one of a neat and tidy home,’ the pair said.
‘Start by giving your yard a good tidy, including pruning trees and removing weeds. Hedges are a great way to dress up a front yard and also provide privacy.
‘Ensure there is a clear and inviting path to the front door – you could use paving, stepping stones, decking or tiling an existing concrete path.’
