The Block’s Mitch Edwards and Mark McKie slam outrageous rumours they sought treatment for ‘Botox addiction’

They’re The Block favourites who have have weathered many storms during their 17-year-relationship and two seasons on the show.

And now, Mitch Edwards and Mark McKie have revealed the strangest rumours  they’ve come across in their time in the spotlight.

‘Last time we were seeking treatment for a Botox addiction and the photo they had of us seeking treatment – we both looked so haggard, I thought “seriously, find an image where we look stunned”,’ Mitch said on the TV Reload Podcast this week.

Not true: The Block’s Mitch Edwards and Mark McKie have shut down bizarre rumours that they were seeking treatment for ‘Botox addiction’ during an interview with TV Reload Podcast this week

While the two haven’t denied a bit of filler here and there, Mark, 59,  insisted they are nowhere near addicted to the beauty treatment.

‘If we were that addicted, we wouldn’t look like this,’ he said.

Elsewhere in the interview, Mitch admitted that he had stripped down to his birthday suit in one scene during the current season of The Block, but it was axed from the family show.

‘There are a lot more reveals that were cut…’ Mark hinted of his partner.

‘I did do a naked scene, but that was cut… no-one needs that,’ Mitch, 58, said.

‘But it was empowering,’ the fit and fabulous granddad cheekily added.

Mitch and Mark first appeared on the show in 2019 as the ‘the stylish gay granddads’.

Last month, the glamorous grandfathers told Nine Now that they were more than happy to sign on the dotted line – on one condition.

‘As soon as we were asked to come back to The Block, our first question was, “Can we have Jason and Steve, our Charles brothers building team with us?” and the answer was “Yes”,’ said Mitch, 58.

The Charles brothers worked with the pair in season 15 back in 2019 on The Oslo site, where they won $384,000.

Mark explained that they had been chatting to the brothers about getting their team back together for a return to the show.

‘Their first response though was that they could never watch us build with anyone else,’ he said.

Mitch added: ‘There would be extreme FOMO on their part, or even our part! So we got this amazing team back together.’

The Block: Fans V Faves continues Sunday at 7pm on Channel Nine
