The Block’s Rachel and Ryan Carr are working on a new TV series

They were fan favourites on The Block last year.

And now Ryan and Rachel Carr have confirmed they are working on a new TV project.

Details have yet to emerge, but it comes after the couple, who are based in Sydney, recently bought a home on the NSW south coast which they plan to renovate.

‘We have a couple of exciting things about to happen that we’ve been working on for a little bit,’ Rachel explained in a new interview with Woman’s Day this week.

‘We’d love to do out own show. So watch this space,’ she added.

The couple’s new purchase, which is located in the country town of Berry, 155km from Sydney, came after they finished second in the Block auction last year.

They sold their five-bedroom, three-bathroom home in Gisbourne for $4,250,000, pocketing $169,000 profit from the sale, which they used to buy the new property.

Rachel said that their new television show won’t be happening interstate, away from their home base in the Sutherland Shire, in Sydney’s far south.

The lovebirds are not keen to leave behind their young family, and have vowed never to return to The Block, which is based in Victoria.

‘We can’t walk away from the kids for that long,’ she said.

‘It’s not about the experience, it’s about what happens when you come home. And trying to repair what happens when you leave your kids for that amount of time. It’s not worth it.’

Rachel and Ryan share daughters, Eveleigh, six and Mila, four and a son, Tommy, who is two. 

It comes after the pair took took to Instagram last month to post  pictures of a crew filming the couple with their young family.

Posting to Instagram on Wednesday, Rachael and Ryan uploaded a gallery of photos alongside a caption that said: ‘A busy little day in our house today.’

Another photo shows the couple chatting as two of their daughters play on a backyard swing set as a crew films them.

The picture was captioned: ‘Lots of exciting things happening in our house.’

Ryan and Rachael posted a third pic where they can be seen posing for the film crew with their three young ones inside their home.

‘It’s always fun with this lot,’ the caption says.
