The Block’s Sara Vale reveals the REAL reason she decided not to quit the show

The Block’s Sara Vale has revealed the real reason why she decided not to quit the show following her cataclysmic meltdown on Sunday night’s episode.

Speaking to 9Homes on Tuesday, the reality TV ‘villain’ explained that if it wasn’t for her husband Hayden, she would have walked away from the show.

‘I had to really rely on Hayden quite a bit for emotional support, and if it was up to me, I definitely would have packed my bags,’ she confessed to the publication.

She went on to explain that viewers may underestimate the strength of her relationship with Hayden.

‘What viewers don’t really see is the whole picture of us. They see us arguing, but they don’t actually see that as a couple we can be really strong,’ she said.

Meanwhile, tradesman Hayden offered his reason for staying in the game, telling 9Homes with a chuckle: ‘It would have looked pretty silly if a construction manager walked off The Block, right?’

Sara and Hayden were left humiliated when they came last for the third time in a row on Sunday, despite spending $75,000 on their bathroom – officially the most expensive in the show’s history.

Having a meltdown and vowing to the quit the Nine property series, the brunette tore off her microphone and ran out into the street, claiming she would not return to the show.

‘I don’t want to be here. I don’t want to do this if we’re going to constantly come last and be embarrassed on national TV,’ Sara snapped.

But despite her fiery outburst, Sara decided to stay on the show for ‘one more week’.

In an emotional admission during Monday night’s episode, Sara fought back tears while agonising over her choice.

‘I’m on the verge of leaving,’ she said. ‘But I’ll give it a go for one more week.

‘If we get hammered again then I can’t do it to myself mentally, so I will have to call it quits.’
