The Block’s Sara Vale says it’s hard to look at her body after giving birth

The Block’s Sara Vale prides herself on ‘keeping it real’ with her Instagram followers.

And the 31-year-old home renovator shared a confronting photo of herself in her underwear on Tuesday as she reflected on her recent weight gain.

Sara explained that she finds it ‘hard looking at [her] body now’, after welcoming two children with her husband Hayden.

Sara confessed she isn’t happy with her appearance, adding that ‘the only thing’ she likes about her body ‘is the fact it produced two kids’.

Sara, who welcomed her son Lawson Jet in late April, explained that the photos were taken two-months postpartum. 

‘I weigh more now than when I did full term with Harlow [her first child]. Coming to terms with that was pretty hard,’ she wrote.

Sara and Hayden welcomed their first child, daughter Harlow, in December 2016. 

She had previously lost 5kg in 2018 by following a nutritional cleanse program, which helped her shift the weight after her first pregnancy.

At the time, she wrote on Instagram: ‘My confidence in my body is back finally and it’s only going to get better from here.’

Sara and Hayden won The Block last year, taking home a $545,000 profit.

They are perhaps best remembered for installing a gold bathtub in their apartment at The Gatwick Hotel in Melbourne’s St Kilda.

At the time, the judges dismissed the bathtub as gaudy and overly expensive, but many viewers thought it was a lovely feature.
