Sarah-Jane Calleja has revealed the parenting act dividing herself and husband Tom.

The Block star revealed on this week’s I Just Can’t with SJ & Rach podcast, she and Tom disagree on whether it’s appropriate to kiss their daughter Cleo on the lips.

‘It is something Tom and I have always been black and white on and just don’t agree,’ she explained.

‘I give Cleo a kiss on the lips. I always do and I don’t see an issue with it but Tom is so against it, he’s never kissed her on the lips.’

Sarah-Jane said Tom wanted her to tell their family members to not kiss Cleo on the lips when she was born.

‘He wanted me to tell my family that no one can kiss her on the lips. He thinks it’s half inappropriate and half unhygienic,’ she explained.

Sarah-Jane’s co-host Rachel Carr admitted that she kisses her kids on the lips but understands why Tom doesn’t like it.

‘I do see exactly where he’s coming from,’ she responded.

‘My sister has a little baby and I smother in kisses… and I was thinking, “Is this right anymore to even be smothering my nephew in kisses in this day and age?”‘

Sarah-Jane is currently pregnant with the couple’s second child.

Tom and Sarah-Jane were one of the more popular couples featured on The Block, with the pair known for their rousing arguments and gritty work ethic.

During last year’s finale, their property had a reserve price of $4.08 million and sold for $4.1 million, meaning they walked away with just $20,000 for their efforts.

The couple posted to Instagram to tell their fans the disappointing result meant they sold their Ford Ute.

Tom and Sarah-Jane were one of the more popular couples featured on The Block, with the pair known for their rousing arguments and gritty work ethic

‘Honestly Ford Australia saved us financially and we are so grateful they gave such a generous prize to the show that we were then able to win!’

Sarah explained: ‘Our plan was to always keep it but we needed to reimburse our lost money from going on the show.’

Despite other couples walking away with huge amounts of cash, Tom and Sarah-Jane spent money from their savings to break even on the show.

Sarah-Jane claimed Tom lost $40,000 by not working for three months, while she lost approximately $20,000.
