Sharon confessed she didn’t think The Block would be anything as dramatic as it panned out to be, but says she has no regrets about joining the series.

‘I’ve been on scripted television before, but it’s different because you really don’t have any control about like what it’s gonna come across as, but all you can do is be yourself, and be honest.’

The couple have faced severe backlash after they were accused of cheating, leading to Sharon to delete her Instagram account and take a break from the relentless trolling the couple have received from viewers.

With casting for The Block 2023 now open, the couple said hopefuls without any tradie experience should think twice about applying and opening yourself up on TV.

‘I think really hard about obviously going on there. It’s great to be a tradie, but if you’re not a tradie it’s hard work, but it’s rewarding,’ Ankur said.

Sharon added: ‘Make sure you’ve got a really good support network behind you and think twice about opening yourself up to all of Australia on national television four times a week for three months.’
