With a spectacular gaming room, free lunches and nap pods, it’s no surprise Google has become the top brand Australian employees would be proudest to work for.

The Internet giant is among the 10 workplaces around the country providing the best experiences for their employees between March 31, 2018 to March 31, 2019.

The workplace rankings, conducted by YouGov, rounded up the top 10 brands, with Qantas coming in at second place, followed by Cancer Council and then PayPal.

‘The prevalence of tech brands in the top 10 suggests that many Aussies want to work for innovative and forward-thinking employers – particularly Google who takes the top spot,’ Ervin Ha, head of data products at YouGov APAC said.

‘Being a brand people would be proud to work for is a good indication of strong brand health.’

Mercedes-Benz was another brand that provided the best experiences for their employees, followed by online streaming giant Netflix.

Fourth spot! PayPal has been operating in Australia since 2005 - and has more than seven million active customer accounts

Car giant Toyota drove its way up to the seventh spot, followed by Emirates, BMW and YouTube.

YouGov also revealed the ‘most improved’ workplace, with Netflix coming in at the top spot, followed by McDonald’s, WhatsApp, Hungry Jack’s and Singapore Airlines.

KFC came in at fifth spot, followed by KIA, SEEK, Samsung and Qantas.
