The compelling fan theory that Sophie Tieman wins The Bachelor

Bachelor fans and TV insiders alike are convinced that Brittany Hockley wins Nick Cummins’ heart on The Bachelor, with Sophie Tieman placing second.

But in recent weeks, eagle-eyed viewers have proposed a compelling theory that the bookies have got it all wrong – because Sophie is the real last girl standing.

From her red carpet debut to her first single date with Nick, fans have observed that the 25-year-old’s portrayal is remarkably similar to last year’s winner Laura Byrne.

Revealed: The convincing fan theory that SOPHIE wins The Bachelor and bookies’ favourite Brittany comes second – as viewers notice familiar editing tricks from Matty J’s season

When Sophie first arrived at the Bachelor mansion to greet Nick, music featuring melodic piano notes played in the background.

Likewise, 2017 Bachelor Matthew Johnson’s first interaction with his now-girlfriend Laura was accompanied by a piano tune with familiar sound effects.

The first one-on-one dates between each couple also shared striking similarities. On both occasions, they met by the water before enjoying a romantic kiss.

For Sophie, her piano music – nicknamed the ‘winners’ theme’ among Bachelor fans – was used again in the introduction to her first solo date with Nick.

While Sophie wasn’t picked up in a vehicle for the first date of the season like in 2017, her private time with Nick was almost a carbon copy of Matty and Laura’s date.

Interestingly, the dates were both thematically ‘linked’ to the couples’ first conversations on the red carpet.

Meaningful connections! The dates were both thematically ‘linked’ to the couples’ first conversations on the red carpet, with Sophie having a boating adventure and Laura being creative with art

Singing a happy tune! The ‘winning’ music could also be heard on both the women’s kisses with the Bachelors as well as choir singing added for a romantic effect

Sophie’s boating adventure was related to the fact she discussed her passion for the water, and Laura’s art session was linked to her being a creative jewellery designer.

Furthermore, during the night portion of their date, Nick passionately kissed Sophie while choir singing was heard triumphantly in the background.

The same choir-like singing was used when Matty and Laura kissed for the first time.
