Video has been released of the shooting in Compton that left a three-year-old boy dead, on Monday.
Deputies confirmed that the shooting, which happened around 7.45pm outside Nate’s Liquor store, was gang related.

The car’s windows seem to be tinted, which leads investigators to believe that the shooter was unaware of the child’s presence.
It wasn’t until the boy’s mother was driving away from the scene that the passenger noticed that the child was bleeding, according to investigators as per KTLA.

Pulling over at a restaurant parking lot about a mile and a half away, the couple called deputies.
The child was immediately rushed to Harbor-UCLA Medical Center but was pronounced dead.
Sheriff’s homicide officials identified the boy as Franklin Ponros.

“My nephew Franklin was only 3 years old and was full of life. He was always so positive and had a warm smile,” the page said.
“Unfortunately, he was in the middle of a crossfire and his life ended short.”
