The Football Association have reportedly opened an investigation into Mykhailo Mudryk’s racial slur in a historical TikTok video that saw Chelsea’s £88million star use the n-word.
Mykhailo Mudryk was filmed repeating the racial slur in the footage, which has been viewed nearly 214,000 times, and issued a grovelling apology after insisting he was trying to recite lyrics to a popular song – Freestyle by US rapper Lily Baby.
The clip will now be reviewed by the FA, who will decide if the Ukranian winger should face any action, according to the Athletic.

According to The Sun, Mudryk’s representative has said he is ‘deeply sorry for any offence caused’ by the footage, which was posted on the winger’s TikTok account in July last year.
He added that Mudryk – who joined Chelsea from Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donestk last month – ‘regrets his decision wholeheartedly’ and ‘accepts it was not appropriate.’
The clip has since been removed. The 40-second clip shows Mudryk in front of an Audi sports car with a friend while they repeat a line from the hit song, which features the n word 16 times.
But the Ukrainian winger has been slammed online for using the language in the clip ‘irrespective of context’.

Football anti-racism group Kick It Out condemned the use of the word in the clip.
‘Kick It Out condemns the use of all racial slurs, including the N-word irrespective of context,’ it said.
‘The N-word is deeply offensive and the use of this term by high-profile figures in football can only serve to alienate people from the game.
‘It is important that footballers use their significant platform in a positive way, and we’re encouraged to see that Mykhailo Mudryk has acknowledged the hurt caused by his use of this offensive slur.’
