The 36-year-old royal reportedly wears John Lewis non-slip tights, which feature built-in ribbed grips that keep her shoes in place. The pantyhose retail for just £5 ($7) and come in black, nude, and tan.

The Duchess of Cambridge has also been shopping at John Lewis department store Peter Jones for years, so it’s likely she has come across the brand’s non-slip tights.

In the past, it was also hypothesized that Kate could have been wearing Wolford’s sheer non-slip tights; however, the brand no longer makes its Sheer 15 tights with a built-in grip.

Americans who’d like to try out Kate’s go-to tights for themselves will be happy to know that John Lewis ships to the U.S. for £10 ($12.81).

But for those who can’t stand the thought of spending that much money on shipping, Calzedonia’s 15 Denier Non-Slip Tights retail for $20 (£15.61) and come in both black and nude.

It is believed that the Queen requires women in the royal family to wear stockings at public events, and while Kate has worn black tights on occasion, nude hosiery has become part of her signature look.

Going against the grain: Meghan Markle, 37, bucked tradition by shunning tights for the announcement of her engagement to Prince Harry in November

Rules: Just days after saying 'I do' to Prince Harry on May 19, the Duchess of Sussex donned stockings to a garden party at Buckingham Palace, her first official engagement as a royal

‘You never see a royal without their nude stockings,’ royal expert Victoria Arbiter told Insider in December. ‘I would say that’s really the only hard, steadfast rule in terms of what the Queen requires.’

Although Meghan Markle bucked tradition by shunning tights for the announcement of her engagement to Prince Harry in November, she did wear them to attend a garden party at Buckingham Palace in May.

The event celebrating Prince Charles’ 70th birthday took place just days after her wedding and was her first official engagement as a royal.

The Duchess of Sussex donned nude tights, just like her sister-in-law. However, some critics pointed out that the hosiery didn’t match her skin tone and called for designers to offer more choices for women with darker skin.

Now that Meghan has officially gotten on board with the look, it’s likely that Kate will be sharing her hosiery hacks with her sister-in-law.
