They are known for their outrageous stunts and celebrity gossip, but The Kyle and Jackie O Show shared an important security update with their listeners on Tuesday.

In an alarming segment, Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson revealed a secret Google Chrome ‘hack’ that lets someone discover all your protected passwords.

With the help of executive producer Sonia ‘Palestine’ Jahshan, Kyle explained how this little-known trick enables people to spy on their partners.

Kyle and Jackie said that all a hacker needs to access a person’s private accounts – for Netflix, Facebook, Instagram and more – is the password to their laptop.

‘That’s all you need. Gone. You’re gone,’ Kyle said. ‘I type in the password… boom!’

Palestine then gave listeners a step-by-step guide to how a computer login password is the key to unlocking someone’s entire password bank.

She described the process of opening a Google Chrome menu where someone can access all of your saved passwords by simply typing in your computer login.

‘You type in the computer password… boom,’ Kyle said. ‘Every password you’ve ever had for any of your devices all lists up.’

Jackie looked visibly shocked and asked her co-host: ‘And so therefore it unlocks everything I’ve used on the computer?’

‘Yes,’ Kyle replied, before asking Palestine how someone could protect themselves from being hacked by others.

‘Do not hit “auto-save”, people!’ she said, before bursting into laughter.

Jackie said she didn’t like the idea of having to enter her passwords every time she wants to access her social media channels.

Kyle responded that Jackie’s ‘laziness’ would expose her to security risks, but she then offered a solution to the problem.

‘What I would suggest is you keep changing your computer password,’ she said.

‘That’s the other thing,’ Palestine said. ‘Regularly change your laptop password. Also, be mindful of who you’ve giving it out to.’

Kyle concluded the segment by joking: ‘Tomorrow a lot of people will be single, I feel!’
