It’s a festival that’s as much about the fashion as the headliners, and with a desert setting and blistering temperatures, the Coachella uniform is traditionally a skimpy one.
But attendees at this year’s celeb-favourite event in Indio, California have had a drastic makeunder.
Gone are the bikini tops and denim cut-offs, with A-listers including Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner opting to cover up rather than bare all over the opening weekend.

Gigi, 23, led the fashion parade, choosing a bizarre ensemble on Sunday as temperatures at the site soared to 90-degrees.
The model looked seventies chic in beige bell bottoms, a brown double-breasted vest, and black boots, while she even chose the covered up look with her eyewear, donning ski goggle-style shades.
Rewind a year and Gigi was rocking a very different look, turning up to opening weekend in thigh-skimming white denim cutoff shorts paired with one shoulder crochet crop top which exposed her taut abs.

Gigi’s best pal Kendall Jenner did put on a leggy display over the 2019 weekend, sporting a short, off-the-shoulder dress as she enjoyed the Revolve party on site, but the reality star got the cover-up memo with her choice of accessories.
The brunette added a pair of white opera gloves with lime green crescent moons to give a bizarre psychedelic touch to her look.
Back in 2018 the top model was busy showing some skin in a tiny black bralet for the same annual Revolve party.
